Tamkeen organised an interactive workshop for academic and career mentors from the Ministry of Education’s Directorate of Public Education and Directorate of Technical and Vocational Training to exchange professional knowledge and expertise. The Workshop participants discussed best practices and modern mentoring techniques as well as means to enhance strategic partnership between Tamkeen and the two Directorates.
The Organising Committee of The Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship announced the names of the finalists for the Award, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Chairman of Economic Development Board.
Tamkeen, in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), organised a workshop on the ‘Kaizen Consultancy Programme’ for Bahraini companies. The workshop aims to disseminate the Kaizen methodology for quality management to companies in attendance; and introduced the companies to the Kaizen Programme to encourage them to adapt it to improve their work productivity, safety management and management efficiency.
Following the transfer of the “Labour Market Observatory” responsibilities to Tamkeen, an Employer Survey has been launched, which aims to capture a comprehensive portrait of the labour market in Bahrain and focus on the different dimensions of supporting career advancement in the kingdom.s.
As part of its efforts to support the growth of Bahrainis and Enterprises across all stages of development, Tamkeen announced its support to the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s initiative: The New Vision for Arab Employment, launched this week to help tackle the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region’s high youth unemployment rate and close skills gaps.
As part of its continuous efforts to engage with the public and ensure maximum benefits from its programmes, Tamkeen held different sessions across the kingdom in 2015 that saw participation from 11,568 individuals.
