Encouraging enterprises to employ and train Bahrainis to build in-demand vocational skills through training and wage support

  • About the Program

    This program, in collaboration with academic and vocational training institutes, provides enterprises with the opportunity to employ Bahrainis as apprentices, giving them the chance to obtain in-demand vocational skills across different trades as well as specialize in the fields of information technology, cybersecurity, and other future jobs.  

    Individuals enrolled in the program will dedicate 30% of their time to academic education and 70% of their time to on-the-job training for a period of 36 months.  

  • Eligibility Criteria

    For Enterprise:

    • Enterprise holds an active Commercial Registration (CR) from MOIC or an active license from the relevant regulatory authority
    • Enterprise must not have violations from Tamkeen, LMRA, or any other relevant government entity

    For Employee:

    • Employee must be a Bahraini national
    • Employee must be between 16 – 40 years of age
    • Employee must be registered in the SIO under the same company
    • Employee must have a minimum wage of BHD 200
  • Support Mechanism

    We will support 50% of the individual’s wage for 36 months, as well as 100% of the training cost during the apprenticeship period up to the approved cap amount.
