Supporting aspiring entrepreneurs looking to grow ideas and innovate using future-ready skills through a structured advisory program

  • About the program

    This program is designed for passion-driven young entrepreneurs with a viable business idea.

    It enables young Bahrainis with high potential to explore creative concepts and turn them into sustainable businesses by offering advisory and financial support. 

  • Eligibility Criteria
    • Bahraini nationals aged 18 to 35 years. 
    • First-time entrepreneur with no active CR or an entrepreneur with a virtual CR or a CR registered for less than one year. 
    • Commit to the 6-week advisory program  
    • Present high-level information of the business idea 
  • Support Mechanism

    We will provide individuals with a business idea, idea stage and early-stage start-ups with an intensive advisory program that will empower them to bring creative business concepts to reality through: 

    • Learning and consistently mastering entrepreneurial skills and capabilities 
    • The provision of tools to develop innovative concepts into a successful business model and company 

    The advisory program finalists will be eligible for product development support against pre-set milestones which covers the following items in line with the outcome of the advisory: 

    • Machinery and equipment 
    • Marketing and branding 
    • Technology 
    • Product design and development 
    • Patent 

    This program offers:  

    • 100% subsidy for the Young Entrepreneur Program – Mashroo3i for ideation, concept development and early-stage startup mentorship. 
    • Tamkeen will support Mashroo3i finalists with 100%* of the total amount required by the individual, based on the pre-defined milestones and for the approved business-related item(s) and/or service(s) under the program. The payment shall be completed in three phases: 
      • 35% of the item(s) and/or service(s) value at the time of purchase with received and verified quotations 
      • 35% of the item(s) and/or service(s) value paid as an incentive grant once the individual achieves a set of pre-defined milestones 
      • 30% of the item(s) and/or service(s) value paid as an incentive grant once the individual achieves a set of pre-defined milestones 

    *  The support amount is up to the approved cap.

  • How long will the program run for?

    The program will run for six weeks, with the first phase comprising of a comprehensive bootcamp focused on helping participants refine and validate their business ideas.

    The second phase will be an intensive Startup Advisory Program that will equip startups with the skills and connections to accelerate their launch and develop their minimum viable product.

    At the end of the program, up to ten teams will have the opportunity to showcase their developed business models to potential investors during the promotion day event.

    This program is open to all sectors with a focus on sectors that have high potential for generating high-quality local employment, injecting capital into the economy, and catalyzing economic growth.
