About the Program
As part of our commitment to supporting the career progression of Bahrainis, we encourage enterprises to employ new talent with higher wages by fully supporting the difference between their new and previous wages.
This program paves the way for enterprises to get the talent they require and for qualified Bahrainis to advance and grow in their careers.

Eligibility Criteria
For Enterprise:
- Enterprise holds an active Commercial Registration (CR) from MOIC or an active license from the relevant regulatory authority
- Enterprise must not have violations from Tamkeen, LMRA, or any other relevant government entity
For Employee:
- Employee must be a Bahraini national
- Employee must be registered in the SIO under the same company
- Employee’s salary must not exceed BHD 1,500
- Employee’s job transfer must be to a different company with no ties to the current one (For example: not a sister company or owned by the same person)
- Employee must have a minimum of 24 months experience
- Employee’s new wage must be at least 10% higher than their previous wage
- Employee must have joined the organization for no more than 6 months
- Minimum wage for full-time employees must be:
- BHD 350 or more – for High School graduates
- BHD 430 or more – for Diploma holders
- BHD 500 or more – for Bachelor’s degree holders and above
For Doctors – additional criteria:
- The requested wage increment should increase the employee’s wage to BHD 800 or above

Support Mechanism
We will support 100% of the difference between the employee’s previous wage and their new wage in a new job for a period of 24 months up to the approved cap amount.
The maximum amount supported is BHD 300.

What information and documents do I need to prepare before applying?
Mandatory Documents:

Can an employee be enrolled in this program if he/she is shifting from one company to another sister company or any in the same group of companies?
No, the new company should not be within the same group of companies, a sister company or under the same owner.

Does this program cover part-time employees who are registered in SIO?
Yes, the program covers part-time employees registered with SIO.

How is this program different from the Wage Increment Program?
This program is designed for employees who have been hired in new jobs within the past 6 months with higher wages.
Tamkeen will support 100% of the difference between the employee’s previous wage and their new wage up to the approved cap.

When can the enterprise submit the application?
The application must be submitted after the completion of at least 3 months in the organization.
Employee wage increment must have been implemented within 6 months at most, prior to application submission.
