Tamkeen Holds Annual Consultation Forum on its 10th Anniversary

Tamkeen held its annual consultation forum on Monday, December 5, 2016, which coincided with the organisation’s 10th anniversary. Amid impressive attendance, the forum, themed, “A Decade of Dedication for a Better Bahrain”, presented Tamkeen’s achievements in the past 10 years, highlighting the importance of collecting feedback and suggestions from the public and all stakeholders. Tamkeen believes in the need for direct public communication in order to enhance operations and ensure that they meet the needs of all labour market segments.

ENTREPRENEURS PITCH FOR INVESTMENTS FROM INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES AS PART OF ‘CLOUD 10’ PROGRAMME

Seven young entrepreneurs from the technology sector pitched in front of a panel of investors in London for potential investments in their businesses as part of the C5 Cloud 10 technology accelerator programme or Scalerator in partnership with Tamkeen, the Bahrain Economic Development Board and powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Tamkeen Participates in UNIDO 50th Anniversary Celebrations

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, received an award on behalf of His Majesty the King by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation at a ceremony in Vienna marking UNIDO’s 50^th anniversary.

Tamkeen Represents Kingdom of Bahrain at EUROMENA OMAN

Tamkeen participated as a representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain at The Euro MENA Dialogue on public Management (EUROMENA), which was held in Muscat, Oman on 24th – 27th October, 2017, where Tamkeen introduced Micro-Finance Initiative for Low Income Earning Women” as best practice.

Tamkeen continuous to support “Training and Wage Support” Program

The revamped “Training and wage support” program which Tamkeen recently relaunched witnessed a noticeable success with over 250 registered businesses.

 

To date, approximately 1,000 employees have been enrolled in the “Training and Wage Support” program since the re-launch in January 2016.
