Tamkeen continuous to support “Training and Wage Support” Program
The revamped “Training and wage support” program which Tamkeen recently relaunched witnessed a noticeable success with over 250 registered businesses.
To date, approximately 1,000 employees have been enrolled in the “Training and Wage Support” program since the re-launch in January 2016.
“The Training and Wage Support” program aims to support businesses growth and to provide employment opportunities which yield high rewards, it also supports Bahraini employees to occupy the best jobs and achieve better standard of living. Therefore, Tamkeen re-launched the program with improved, flexible features.” Expressed Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, CE of Tamkeen.
“Training and Wage Support” program offers an opportunity to certified training providers in the Kingdom of Bahrain for participating in the program by offering a larger number of certifications and training programs which work toward developing the skills that the Bahraini employee requires. This also provides opportunities to businesses seeking specialized certifications for their employees or to employers and also increasing employees’ wages.” He added.
The retail sector is the most registered institutes in the program, followed by manufacturing, construction sector, and then the information technology, telecommunications and financial services sector.
“Training and Wage Support” program includes:
- Supporting employees’ wages for three years.
- Supporting new graduates in their employments wages by 70% for the first year, 50% second year and 25% third year.
- Supporting experienced employees in their employments wages by 25% for the first year, 25% second year and 25% third year.
- Supporting in increasing wages of existing employees’ who receive wages between 50-500 Bahraini Dinar for 24 months.
- Supporting in increasing wages of existing employees’ who receive wages between 20-40 Bahraini Dinar for 12 months.
- Training Support the new and existing employees without
maximum amount. - Training support for business owners.
- Managers and above are eligible for training support only without wage increment for management and leadership courses.
- Training support employees in Tamkeen programs, “Basic Skills” or “Professional Certificates”
- Supporting in increasing employee wages in the construction, hospitality, transportation and logistics activities sectors without the training requirement.
- Supporting in increasing employee wages of lawyers and engineers without the training requirement.
- Supporting the training and recruitment of employees and increasing employee wages with special needs without the requirement of training or wage increment.
