The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) announced the first wave of strategic partnership agreements with Bahrain Development Bank and Ahli United Bank to facilitate access to financing for private sector enterprises, in compliance with the principles of Shariah.
Tamkeen (Labour Fund) established a strategic collaboration with the world’s leading technology training academy, General Assembly, and the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF), to launch training programs that will provide specialized tech training for around 1,200 Bahraini nationals over a period of two years. This collaboration will bring to the Kingdom General Assembly’s wealth of global experience in technology training while building on Tamkeen’s commitment to increase the tech talent supply as well as making Bahrainis competitive both locally and internationally.
The Labour Fund “Tamkeen” announced the launch of its new online portal, which will accept applications for the support programs from both individuals and enterprises starting Tuesday, 15th March 2022. The public will be able to access the portal through Tamkeen’s website, “www.tamkeen.bh”
Tamkeen has been awarded the international standard for Information Security Management (ISO 27001:2013 certification), after successfully completing the requirements and obtaining official accreditation by the authorized ‘QCB Italia Magistratus & Proctor’.
The Labour Fund “Tamkeen” announced that work is underway to launch the “Skills Bahrain” Initiative based on the direction of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training chaired His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, who discussed the project’s progress to date during the last meeting. The initiative is currently being implemented by the Tamkeen in collaboration with several relevant government and private sector entities involved in education, training, and professional labour market requirements.
Tamkeen’s annual 2022 Consultation Forum was held virtually today, Wednesday, January 26, by His Excellency Mr. Husain Mohammed Rajab, the Chief Executive of Labour Fund “Tamkeen.” At the forum, His Excellency stressed the importance Tamkeen’s strategic approach, which comes as a response to the current economic reality and the rapidly changing global economic climate.
