Bahrain witnessed 11.4 M international arrivals in 2022, of which 9.9 M were inbound tourist visitors. Leisure, shopping, business/ MICE*, waterfront and sports (especially the Bahrain Grand Prix Formula One race) are the primary purposes of visiting Bahrain. With Tourism as one of Bahrain's top six priority sectors, there are opportunities to promote the country as an international tourism hub and boost the sector’s contribution to the economy.
