This program supports Bahraini doctors and dentists in obtaining the necessary qualifications to become specialists in public and private hospitals by attending medical or dental fellowship programs abroad to specialize in medical specialties that are highly in demand in the market

It includes the two below tracks:

• Medical Fellowship Track
• Dental Fellowship Track

Applicants are required to receive approval from the training entity and relevant authorities in Bahrain (Supreme Council of Health and National Health Regulatory Authority)

• Bahraini national employed in the public or private healthcare sector or Jobseeker
• Qualified as a medical doctor or dentist 
• Attained Board certification as a Resident/Specialist (only for Medical doctors) 
• Licensed by the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) 
• Obtained an acceptance letter for an approved post graduate dental or medical fellowship program  
• Obtain an approval from the Supreme Council of Health for the fellowship program 

Private sector doctors: Tamkeen will support the travel and program costs and provide stipends for doctors throughout their training period. The candidate will need to apply through Tamkeen’s portal upon receiving an approval from the Supreme Council of Health.  

Public sector doctors: Tamkeen will support the travel and program costs for doctors throughout their fellowship training period. The candidate will need to apply through government hospitals.  

Dental Fellowship Track: Tamkeen will support the travel and program costs and provide stipends for dentists throughout their training period. The candidate will need to apply through Tamkeen’s portal upon receiving an approval from the Supreme Council of Health.
