In line with Tamkeen’s 2026–2030 Strategy, our strategic plan is designed to maximize the impact of support by focusing on priority areas that deliver the highest value to the national economy and Bahrainis. The strategy is driven by Bahrain’s economic vision, evolving labor market needs, local market dynamics, and global economic trends, ensuring relevance and long-term sustainability.
Our approach centers on empowering enterprises to become the engine of growth for a productive and sustainable economy, while enhancing the competitiveness of Bahraini talent as a key driver of economic development. Through targeted and effective support, we address the needs of enterprises and individuals across their development journey, enabling improved productivity, resilience, and scalability.
The strategy focuses on prioritizing areas with the highest returns for the economy and Bahrainis, as well as designing career pathways through initiatives that link skills with available labour market opportunities, in addition to adopting innovative approaches to stimulate private sector growth and access to financing; and enhancing operational effectiveness and efficiency, while further strengthening governance.
At the outset of 2026, marking the launch of Tamkeen’s sixth strategic cycle (2026–2030) and coinciding with the celebration of the Fund’s twentieth anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening our contribution to Bahrain’s economic development. Guided by the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Tamkeen continues to advance under the leadership of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The year 2025 was marked by significant achievements, during which we successfully supported more than 52,900 opportunities for Bahrainis and enterprises across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The support was through various employment, career development, and enterprise growth programs and initiatives aligned with our strategic direction and ongoing commitment to delivering the highest impact. This reflects our central role in supporting national talent in the private sector and strengthening the foundations of sustainable economic growth.
As we embark on a new chapter, we are moving forward with confidence toward implementing our new strategy approved by the Board of Directors in December 2025. The strategy was developed through active engagement with the private sector, Team Bahrain, and beneficiaries, and reflects a more focused, impact- and results-driven approach, underpinned by data and analysis. It is aligned with our vision of empowering enterprises and strengthening a productive and sustainable economy built on skilled and competitive Bahraini talent.
Looking ahead, we are committed to achieving qualitative milestones by working with our private sector partners to create greater value, enhance the competitiveness of national talent, and build a more prosperous future for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
