Tamkeen understands these needs and has developed a variety of programs through which Entrepreneurs can obtain funding, incubation, as well as advisory services. Through these programs, Tamkeen aims to provide entrepreneurs with a launching pad for their ventures to take off and turn their business ideas into reality.

Business Continuity Support Program

Following the Royal Directive of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to unite the national efforts to combat the repercussions of COVID-19 and the impact it had caused on economic levels, Tamkeen launches the Business Continuity Support Program to offer financial support to adversely affected small and micro enterprises. This comes as part of the economic stimulus packages announced by the Government of Bahrain.

This program provides Entrepreneurs with financial support for hiring their first Bahrainis employees and enrolling them in training courses.

This program provides Entrepreneurs with access to sharia-compliant financing of up to BD 500,000 with an option of a repayment tenor of up to 10 years through our partner banks.

Tamweel+

This program provides entrepreneurs with access to sharia-compliant financing of up to BD 2,500,000 with an option of a repayment tenor of up to 10 years through our partner banks.

Micro-Finance

This program provides Entrepreneurs with access to Sharia-compliant microfinancing of up to BD 10,000 through the Family Bank. 
Riyadat Financing

Women entrepreneurs can obtain financing of up to BD 100,000 through the Bahrain Development Bank to set up and launch their business. 

International Placement
International Placement
This program provides entrepreneurs with financial support to work abroad and gain relevant knowledge and skills as they are starting their business. 
Business Mentorship
Business Mentorship
This Program matches a mentor with a mentee from the applicant pool based on needs and criteria identified by the mentee. Mentees meet regularly with their mentors in a one-to-one setting over a period of 9 to 12 months, developing their business and interpersonal competencies.
Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Scheme
Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Scheme

Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Scheme is a grant support that is specially designed to support high-potential Start-ups, in their very early stages of products development, to prepare them to pitch for investment.

As part of this Scheme, Tamkeen will offer a grant of up to 10,000 to create a Minimum Viable Product for angel investment opportunities.  Tamkeen will determine the percentage of the cap a start-up should be offered based on funding criteria.
