Tamkeen’s Mashroo3i Youth Business Competition targets young Bahraini Employees and gives them the support to pursue entrepreneurship as a career choice. This competition will help Employees learn all about preparing feasibility study and business prototypes in addition to providing them with entrepreneurship exposure.

Mashroo3i presents an equal opportunity for young Bahrainis to gain a practical experience in the world of business. The objective is to create a movement towards entrepreneurship in Bahrain. Through Tamkeen’s Mashroo3i Youth Business Competition, Bahraini youth as well as the public get an opportunity to practically understand business planning and the path towards entrepreneurship.

Eligibility Criteria::

Any Bahraini Employees between the ages of 18 and 35 can participate in the competition. Additionally, they must:
• Have an innovative idea of a successful business
• Participate as a team of 2 – 3 members
• All team members should be Bahraini nationals

Documents Required:

• Applicant ID/Smartcard copy

Steps to Apply :

1. Visit Mashroo3i website
2. Click on Apply Now. You can opt to fill the application in Arabic or in English.
3. If this is the first attempt to register you will be required to create an account. If you already have an account, you will be asked to provide your account login details.
4. Read and accept the competition rules and guidelines and then press (Apply for Mashroo3i).
5. Follow the directions given which will take you through the required steps
6.You will need to upload a CPR copy.
7. Fill the Business Idea Model provided
8. Submit a 60 second video explaining your business idea
9. Upon submitting the application, Tamkeen will assess your application and contact you if you are shortlisted
The following are the basic rules and guidelines established for Mashroo3i Youth Business Awards competition. All participants must adhere to these rules and guidelines in order to remain eligible.
1. Entries are restricted to Bahraini youth in the age group of 18 – 30 years.
2. Teams can be 2 to 5 members only.
3. The previous years’ participants in Mashroo3i can also register. Except for the Previous 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in order to give the chance to as many participants as possible.
4. Only one business idea allowed per team.
5. There are no submission fees or costs to enter Mashroo3i.
6. All ideas or business concepts must be legal, within the boundaries of the Kingdom of Bahrain laws, and ethics. This competition is meant to encourage the actual implementation of youth-run businesses.
7. Projects selling products/services related to the below items are not allowed to participate in the competition:

II. Video games
III. Musical Instruments
IV. Inflammable products
V. Makeup Services
VI. Salons
VII. Abaya designer
VIII. Merchandising
IX. Franchises
Food-related businesses can be submitted as concepts but not as actual products.
8. All decisions of entries into the completion are made the Mashroo3i Selection Committee and are final
9. By submitting your business idea, you consent to participating in the Mashroo3i and you have no objections to Tamkeen using your images or video in future assignments.
10. Once shortlisted, participants must attend all training sessions and be present at their exhibition booths at all times.
